In the mid 1990’s most professionals who cared about the longevity of their prints began switching to use Fuji Crystal Archive™, Kodak DuraLife™, or other papers that feature superior longevity to standard prints. Most framed pictures, even professional portraits from most photo studios done before the mid 1990’s, and many still today, will fade terribly over time, especially if subjected to light. You can check your prints. Take one out of the frame- if the paper doesn’t say Fuji Crystal Archive™ or Kodak DuraLife™ on the back, then it is likely to degrade. The Family Reserve’s prints are all made with the finest archival materials. Our acid free, lignin free, bright, coated papers have been certified with our pigmented inks to be light fast under normal lighting conditions, framed behind glass, for over 100* years. We also use only the best quality archival framing materials in all our framing. Don’t let the pictures of your loved ones fade away. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| * Even our prints can eventually fade, especially under prolonged exposure to strong lighting, such as direct sunlight. While our prints will last many times longer than most photographic prints under any conditions, they will not resist fading for 100 years in direct sunlight. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
